Participatory video: one-to-one live dialogues
with John Heron about any aspect of his work
Here is the protocol:
1. Length: from a few
minutes to a maximum of an hour for any one dialogue; the minimum
interval between dialogues for any one person is one week, the maximum
interval is unlimited; the total number of dialogues is negotiable.
2. Time: each dialogue
starts on the hour Monday through Friday at any one of these local New
Zealand times: 8 am, 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 12 noon, 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm.
3. Video: dialogues are
only available via High Quality Video on Skype, for which you need the
latest version of Skype for Windows, a Logitech
High Quality Video webcam (I suggest a Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000) with the
latest webcam software,
plus
a dual core processor PC and
a fast broadband connection.
4. Booking: send me an
email at jnheron@xtra.co.nz with
(a) at least three different New Zealand dates and times (selected from
no. 2 above) over the next two weeks (and make sure you check carefully
the time difference between NZ and your location), (b) a short note
about any topic or topics relating to my work you want to discuss (plus
any references and page numbers if relevant), and (c) a statement that
you are geared up for High Quality Video.
5. I will email you
confirming one of your dates, or suggest alternatives if none of yours
are possible.
6. There is no charge by
me, and Skype video calls are free.
NB: This is an
experimental venture. The above protocol may change as a function of
issues arising in its application.
